It's been quiet in the kitchen lately, too quiet for my liking with time for baking any extravagant desserts. Still this shouldn't result no cake at birthdays or other celebrations that have popped up over recent months. Hence why I have a go-to cake box mix. A must when you only have a couple of hours to whip something up and nothing left in the cardboard. This chocolate cake with chocolate fudge frosting was made with love, love that comes in a box (and a few things in the fridge). Jazzed up with a perfectly whipped silky meringue, topped with roasted crushed hazelnuts and maraschino cherries…your guests will be none the wiser!
So while your testing out cake box mixes, I hope to have a few new recipes up soon that celebrate the return of warmer weather and longer sun-filled days. Until then.
